Discharges

NGB has recently officially released the new version of the NGB22 to us. We have incorporated this form into version 10.7.9 of the TwinEngines Web App Suite. We do NOT plan on incorporating this form into the older version of the Discharges that was part of the CMSWebServices suite, so if you have not migrated to using the new system, you will need to do so in order to take advantage of the new form. I am offering to do online training for your staff to help ease the migration to the new system. There is no cost involved and is being provided as part of the yearly maintenance and support package. If you are interested, just let me know and we can schedule a DCS with your staff and I will walk you through the new system.

PERMS Integrator

The yearly maintenance and support for PERMS Integrator was finally renewed and is now up to date. If you are using the TwinEngines Web Application Suite, please be sure to upgrade to version 8.6 of PERMS Integrator. Make sure that when you upgrade, you upgrade ALL your instances of PERMS Integrator. Otherwise you can get errors because the old version of the application is trying to access the new version of the database.

Case Management

We continue to expand and enhance Case Management. We have created a demo of how you can use Case Management to manage and track System Authorization and Access Requests (SAARs) for systems within your state. End users can start the SAAR process by completing the form, which is pre-populated by the system, then submitting the form to the Case Management system. Appropriate personnel are then notified of the SAAR and are able to digitally sign the form, then submit it back to the website for further processing. Each system can have a different "Information Owner" and "System Administrator" and the "Security Manager" can be done at whatever level you assign it to (e.g. Unit, Battalion, Brigade, or State HQ). In addition, you can also track your Acceptable Use Policy and Annual Training within the system. To see how this SAAR process works, see the online demo here:

ETrans Manager

We hope to have a BETA version of our new ETrans Manager available within a few weeks. This is a total re-write of ETrans Manager which moves it over into the TwinEngines Web Application Suite and takes advantage of our Case Management functionality. If you are interested in BETA testing this version, please let me know.

NOTE: TwinEngines Web Application Suite v10.7.9 requires PERMS Integrator v8.6, so upgrade both at the same time to avoid errors.
